The land of March

Hello to my peoples, from the land of March. If one is not in school, march has perhaps the least to offer of all the months. If I was old Julius, I think I would have made March the month with twenty eight days, not February. But that's just me.

It has been unseasonally warm the last few days. At times almost rainy, snow so thick and heavy visibility has been severely limited at times. Night before last, Heather and were snowboarding, and in the time it took us to make one run and ride the gondola back up, the tracked, shredded surface of the run we were on had been completely covered up with two inches of pure fluff. It is rare to be able to make fresh tracks every run, especially on a big, commercialised mountain like Keystone. The trade off was that we had heavy, wet snow everywhere, our goggles were soaked, our face masks and neck gators were soaked, and then I fell, well, not fell as much as did a quick snow-check with my bottom, and got a pants-load of snow, which promptly began to melt and run down my legs. Cold and miserable, yes, but worth it. I temporarily relinquished my title as the reigning die-hard in favor of fifteen minutes in the steam room at the rec center to warm my shivering self up.

...hmm, I just logged on and discovered that I had started a post, got distracted, and never finished. I shall just post the first paragraph, and move on to the next one. Stay posted, more to come.
